Experience

  • Hal has only worked in and studied arboriculture and has done so for over forty five years (since 1979)
  • Trained in forestry for Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, on the Sandringham Estate, Norfolk
  • 12 years in tree maintenance contracting as a practical, climbing arborist in UK, Germany (5 years), Belgium and Holland
  • 6 years as a London local authority tree officer in L. B. Lambeth
  • Worked throughout the South-East for a private arboricultural consultancy
  • Founded ACS (Trees) Consulting, in London in 2000
  • Has been and continues to be commissioned to provide expert advice for numerous prestigious projects including: the sole arboriculturist to the London Olympics project 2012; three of the monument installations in Parliament Square, London; Queen Elizabeth Park legacy project; Exhibition Road refurbishment; Crossrail; London Eye, Jubilee Gardens, Victoria Embankment Gardens; re-building of the Old Guardian Building.
